Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Function on the GS Bank Engineering team, which is responsible for the development and improvement of core analytics and software platforms for use in GS Bank. Write, deploy, and monitor new software for regulatory and internal controls. Perform the daily processing of loan data in order to pledge such loans to the Fed discount window, or use them in other funding venues; verify user-entered data. Enable the configuration of eligibility rules (software) by non-technical users for said loans, conforming to the eligibility criteria of the discount window and other venues. Design software and data processing abilities that focus on cybersecurity requirements and policies and reflect modern approaches to data handling, including encryption of Personally Identifiable Information and usage of enterprise Data Warehouse. Work with Agile development concepts, including scrum team based development. Communicate with business users to understand requirements, inform them of key deliverables, generate metrics for tracking progress, deliver periodic product demonstrations, and advocate for effective use of available software platform. Mentor and guide junior developers (Analysts).

Job Requirements: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field plus three (3) years of experience (if Master's degree) or five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor's degree) in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience (with Master's) or five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor's) in each of the following: development of software using Java, including multi-threading, JDBC, and collection framework; SQL, Stored procedures and Sybase or similar relational database; Java unit testing tools, such as Junit, EasyMock, PowerMock, or DBUnit; data handling using domain modeling and object relational data mapping; high-level tools for decision management, including Signavio; accessing and manipulating data in an enterprise data warehouse; searching, handling and manipulating large volumes of data (big data), including applying methodologies such as mapreduce and cluster configuration; working with public-private key encryption methods; working across the entire lifecycle of product development, including requirements gathering; Functional and Technical Design; Development; User Acceptance Testing; Release Procedures; Change request analysis; and Production support; working with Agile development concepts, including scrum team based development; and communicating with business users to gather requirements and deliver product presentations.
