Associate, Test Automation Architect

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks an Associate, Test Automation Architect in New York, New York

Analyze, design, develop, and maintain automated scripts and regression test plans for interfaces. Develop automation frameworks consisting of functional libraries while adhering to coding standards. Engage in DevOps initiatives within QA and Development teams to help implement efficiencies across teams. Participate in daily release/project meetings. Schedule and conduct testing, submit testing errors and issues to development for correction, test corrected code, and track defects. Document test progress and results. Monitor automation projects and ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Analyze scripts and perform code reviews of automated scripts. Report results of automated scripts in test management tools. Use automated Quality Assurance systems to facilitate daily activities. Develop automation strategies that enhance test execution, manual test coverage, and consistency of regression testing. Participate in and recommend unit testing of application and recommend the standard framework. Keep abreast of software industry "best practices" and trends and communicate new information to QA team. Create and standardize the Continuous Integration framework for application and automated test suite. Create and maintain test libraries, databases, and test environments through Ready for Business Checks.

Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer, IT Analyst, IT Consultant, or related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: software testing/development management; and running the testing function across a broad range of programs in DevOps/Agile standards. Requires four (4) years of experience with quality engineering and technology. Requires two (2) years of experience with: software testing/development in a technical environment; and executing test automation and transformation program towards DevOps. Will accept any amount of experience with: Quick Test Pro; executing process improvements across QA and development teams; backend and frontend testing; test automation using QTP, Selenium, or BDD framework; database testing; mainframe operations; Investment banking; Wealth Management, Institutional, or Retail banking; maintaining test entitlement requirements and matrix to support testing efforts; automation testing; creating concise and clear reports for distribution to senior management on a weekly basis; Quality Assurance best practices; defect management tooling including JIRA, ALM, and Agile Central; DevOps/Agile testing methodologies; monitoring and tracking implementation plans to ensure desired outcomes; programming languages including VB Script, Excel VBA, Java, JavaScript, Cucumber, and HTML 5.0; frameworks including BDD-Cucumber using Gherkin, POM, Aperture, Hybrid Framework, Keyword Driven, Data Driven, and Aperture framework; databases including SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, DBArtisan, Data Studio, Delphix, and Oracle SQL; and tools including QTP/UFT, Quality Center/ALM, CA Agile Central, CA Agile Requirement designer, JIRA, TestComplete, Selenium/Protractor, GIT, IntelliJ, Eclipse, Jenkins, and QMF.
