Brief Description of the Organization CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.  In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.  With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.  This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.


The Americas Banking, Custody & Escrow team is the product management organization within the Citi Private Bank, covering North America and Latin America. The team is responsible for the strategic direction of core products, including Banking, Custody/ Safekeeping Services, Escrow Agent Services, and Cards.  Clients for these services include Ultra High Net Worth Individuals and Families, Family Offices, Law Firms/ Associates/ Partners, Registered Investment Advisors, Hedge Funds and Private Equity firms.

Overview of Role

This position reports into Citi Private Bank's Americas Banking & Custody Product Management Head.  The individual will co-manage the following products/ services for N.A. and LATAM:
  • Consumer and Business Deposits, Balance Sheet and Rates 
  • Consumer and Business Credit Cards 
  • Business Cash Management Services
  • Custody Services

Responsibilities

Product Management:
  • Product Strategy:  Pursue continuous improvement opportunities, system enhancements and industry best practices
    • Develop and refine value proposition of products
    • Gather client feedback/segmentation analysis, stay on top of overall industry/market trends, and regulatory developments in order to drive product enhancements
    • Maintain product roadmap
    • Work with product sales specialists and business development team to identify opportunities to optimize usage & usability of products

  • Product Development: Provide leadership in the design, development, pilot, and launch of end-to-end solutions to meet client needs
    • Ownership of product build, from building appropriate business case to secure funding, writing BRDs, and work with Tech partners to oversee development and support testing; work with Sales to successfully market and launch
    • Partner with product partners in CPB, CCB, Consumer Bank and TTS in order to ensure alignment of development roadmap

  • Product Administration: Day to day ownership of product
    • Partner with functional partners in Treasury, Risk, Legal, Compliance, AML, Technology, and/ or Marketing to execute on initiatives
    • Risk management: ensure risks are adequately controlled; remediation of related Business issues and/ or Audit findings
    • Communications: Manage product collateral, intranet design
    • Training: run quarterly product training sessions on existing and new product capabilities
    • Vendor management: ownership of negations, agreements, pricing and escalation
    • Ownership of escalated issues, leveraging the appropriate resources to champion results

  • Product Pricing 
    • Partner with Pricing Lead to ensure appropriate pricing for approximately $10B+ in liabilities
    • Analyze balance sheet and current portfolio to determine areas for further optimization
    • Work with Pricing Lead and Treasury to implement optimization strategies, including maximization Transfer Pricing and revenue management
    • Provide input for financial reviews


Qualifications

Experience
  • 3 to 5 years of Product Management/ Balance Sheet/ Commercial Banking experience
  • Demonstrated track record of change management and delivering results within a matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information, prioritize business goals and drive results with urgency

Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication + interpersonal skills with the ability to present internally and externally with partners, senior management and clients
  • Comfort modeling with large data sets; very strong Excel skills
  • Highly collaborative team player with excellent attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to changing environment and systems.                                                                    
  • Capacity to proactively anticipate, identify, and resolve problems
  • Ability to think outside the box to effectively improve processes and enhance products
  • Highly organized and responsive
