Community Relations Manager I

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Market Executive and CRM II's to deploy local market strategy
  • Support administrative needs of office plus Market Executive
  • Manage incoming on-line applications focusing on timely responses and execution via Cybergrants and Marketscape
  • Assist in coordinating meetings and presentations
  • Manage various aspects of the company's charitable giving and sponsorships including research, processing and communications
  • Serve as a market liaison to Bank of America Community Volunteers to manage market-driven volunteer activities
  • Assists with strategically aligning market assets, including events and tickets
  • Manage budgets - process invoices in a timely manner, maintain current/accurate accounting and reconciliation
  • Manage local market calendar
  • Serve as a local expert on brand compliance guidelines; i.e. invitations, sponsorships, writing style
  • Assist in coordination and on-site logistics for events and meetings (eg agenda, materials, follow up items, design, branding, A/V, etc)
  • Actively engage in local events (both ours and enterprise) including early mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Responds to unsolicited queries requiring research with executive follow up
  • Ability to navigate travel through 5 boroughs of NYC and Westchester County
  • Ability to manage individual strategic projects in additional to standard job responsibilities

Required Skills:

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with Cybergrants or granting platforms
  • Previous public relations experience
  • Strong understanding of the local non-profit community, such as previous experience with non-profit program management, foundation grant making experience, or leadership roles in a non-profit
  • Engagement with local politicians, business leaders, and non-profit executives
  • Strong negotiator - can influence across different levels of leadership
