Credit Risk Management, Latin America - (#106086)

We Offer
The primary function of this role will be active management of a portfolio of Corporate borrowers within Latin America region. In this role, you will excel in the following areas:
  • You will perform quantitative and qualitative credit risk analysis and assign internal credit ratings
  • You are participating in or leading client due diligence visits/calls
  • You will be responsible for active maintenance management of portfolio including credit reviews, exception approvals, event based rating changes, maintenance and timely update of regulatory ratings, etc.
  • You will be the contact person for Regulatory/Internal Audit and like governance reviews.
  • You will access proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure structural risks are identified and mitigated
  • You will grant credit approvals in line with Credit Authority per Policy
  • You will seek senior CO approvals, when required, based on advanced credit authority
  • You will monitor market, regulatory, macro-economic and political developments and assessing their impact on the credit quality of counterparties
  • You will liaise with the Legal department to ensure identified risks are addressed in the legal documentation for structured transactions and setting credit terms in the legal documentation (e.g. Credit Agreements, ISDA and CSA) for lending and flow trading activity
  • You will perform on-going monitoring of portfolio, so that any early signs of distress or deviation from the expected performance are promptly identified and raised
  • Liaising with various internal departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems
  • You will conduct general problem solving for any issues arising in relation to counterparties in the portfolio

You Offer
  • Relevant undergraduate or graduate level degree (preferably Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting)
  • 3-7 years of experience in credit risk
  • The ability to speak, read, and write with equal fluency in English and Spanish
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills

  • A knack for analyzing complex data and communicating to a broad range of audiences
  • Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task
