New hire will join the FIX Support team in Client Connectivity under GSET Engineering, which performs client, vendor, sales and coverage support of FIX inbound and outbound sessions to the High Touch/ Low Touch trading and done-away Clearing flows. Services are provided to our Equities, Options, Futures and Clearing customers across the Equities and Prime Services Business Units. Key responsibilities will include FIX support with focus on troubleshooting of production and pre-production issues, performing required platform maintenance, enhancing and automating support tools/workflows, managing runbooks, Global coordination with Regional Support Teams for appropriate Follow The Sun coverage and providing a central interface for Americas Sales and Coverage for FIX and Connectivity related queries. In addition, the day to day management of the other support team members will reside with this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Perform required maintenance and support including troubleshooting of production and pre-production issues
• W ork with Regional and Global teams to deliver enhancements to Client Connectivity Support

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 10+ years of experience in a similar hybrid technical/business-facing role. Previous experience in managing a support desk a plus.
• FIX Protocol knowledge
• Experience in operating in a Linux/Unix Environment
• Ne tworking setups and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications
• Python or similar scripting language experience in Linux environment is a plus
• Re lational (Sybase, DB2) database experience is preferred
