Department Profile:
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firms books and records, and by contributing to Firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

The Financial Control Group (FCG) is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for the Firm. FCG prepares external financial reports for public filings and regulators. For internal reporting FCG, along with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), summarizes, plans and forecasts the organizations financial position, including income statements, balance sheets, and analyses of future revenues, expenses and earnings. FCG is comprised of Business Unit Controllers, Infrastructure Controllers, Accounting, Regulatory and Reporting groups, and Valuation Review.

The Investment Management (IM) Capital and Balance Sheet Management Team is a dynamic team within IM Finance supporting the IM segment in the execution of strategies and mitigate risk through transparent and effective reporting and analytical solutions. Below responsibilities include frequent interaction with CFO teams, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Business Units and various control functions.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Director and Vice President compile, analyze and report balance sheet and capital analysis for presentations to senior management
- Prepare quarterly balance sheet, RWA and capital ROE trend analysis
- Contribute to CCAR balance sheet forecast consolidation and trend analysis for Review and Challenge
- Assist with capital scenario analysis to support strategic business decisions
- Produce Resolution and Recovery (RRP) balance sheet consolidation and trend analysis
- Prepare balance sheet limits monitoring analysis
- Validate segment business required capital reporting
- Production, support and/or validation of financial and regulatory disclosures
- Partner with Treasury to develop and implement Treasury P&L reporting and capital liquidity metrics
- Develop and implement process improvement and automation
- Completion of ad hoc management requests and projects

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields
- 4-6 years relevant accounting and/or capital reporting experience
- Strong leadership, presentation and communication skills
- Willingness to adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Advanced Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Essbase experienced preferred
- Ability to develop and maintain consultative relationships with various constituents at all levels
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Experience in implementation of business process improvement and technology solutions
- Ability to work both independently and within team settings to ensure timely delivery of new requests
