Lead Infrastrct Ops Analyst - Helpdesk

Clearing, Markets &Issuer Services Technology (CMIST) is responsible for application development andsupport for more than 350 critical business systems including Repo Edge(collateral management), Enterprise Payment Hub (multi-currency payment processing),and Broker Dealer Clearance (securities clearing).

Issuer Services Technology supports theCorporate Trust and Depositary Receipts businesses, which provide world-classequity and debt servicing. This includes application development, maintenanceand risk management for the portfolio of proprietary and third-partyapplications used by the $1.3B Corporate Trust business. Focuses include clientrelationship data integration to provide a complete view of data acrossbusiness lines and enhancing the client experience through digitization andautomated onboarding. The Issuer Services Technology group also supports thebroad spectrum of intranet-based systems for BNY Mellon award-winningDepositary Receipts business.

Desktop Technology Specialist at CTT,Government Development Service will be responsible for:

  • Creating metrics for calls received on Help Deskon a daily, monthly basis

  • Research and possible developing new tool fortracking Help Desk calls

  • Helping staff in resolving problems in thedesktop space with software and hardware issues.

  • Troubleshoottechnical issues and escalate complex problems to appropriate support teams

  • Overseeinventory management of software and hardware components

  • Installsoftware and maintain software license renewals tracking sheet

  • Procurementof desktop peripherals and supplies

  • DeployOS and software patches to desktops in our environment

  • Install,configure, upgrade, maintain and support desktop/laptop systems

  • Writingtechnical documents on processes and procedures.

  • Workin the print room as needed

  • Performsother duties as assigned

Lead Infrastructure Operations Analyst->> Designs,implements, integrates and supports various mainframe, mid-frame, distributed,web, and PC operating systems and ancillary products. Reviews new/modified filetransmission requests. Formulates plans to meet system performance objectives.Analyzes, implements, maintains, and documents system software installed in allenvironments. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systemsand layered software packages. Analyzes user hardware and software needs andrecommends upgrades or new purchases. Installs, configures, and developsmiddleware utility programs and related distributed system software on multiplemainframe/distributed hardware/software environments. Leads the middleware teamin providing more complex on-site and on-call support through analysis andresearch. Communicates both formally and informally with customers and endusers. Reviews new/modified file transmission requests submitted by allinternal business partners at BNY Mellon. Contributes to the achievement ofrelated teams' objectives.


  • Bachelor'sdegree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalentwork experience required

  • 4 - 6 years of related infrastructureexperience required

  • Mustbe able to communicate effective with non-technical staff and with member oftechnology team

  • Mustbe flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding newtechnology

  • Musthave strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Musthave experience working both independently and in a team oriented environment.

  • Musthave proficient skills in one or more of the following: Microsoft Office,Programming, System Analysis, Desktop Knowledge and Analytical Thinking

  • Experiencein the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
