Engagement Financial Advisors:
Deloitte's Engagement Financial Advisor team is comprised of professionals specializing in project and account operations serving as a focal point for aspects of engagement, program, and account management control. Engagement Financial Advisors provide engagement management knowledge for the entire project management team(s) by assisting with initiating and controlling organization and logistical aspects of projects. Their greatest value, however, is in the understanding and application of engagement business and financial processes, both to individual projects and to client accounts.

Work You'll Do
As an EFAM Program mentee, you will be paired with students interested in Deloitte Engagement Financial Advisor (EFA) Practice with a Deloitte EFA professional. Throughout this program, your Deloitte professional will act as your guide as you navigate various aspects of Deloitte and the EFA practice. This program will give you the opportunity to:
• Build a relationship with a Deloitte Consulting EFA professional
• Learn about Deloitte's inclusive culture
• Explore professional opportunities with Deloitte's EFA Practice
• Gain advice on your future career and prepare yourself for your college recruitment experience
• The program begins October 2019 and runs through the end of the school year (April 2020)

The Team
Our Engagement Financial Advisor team, part of Deloitte Services LLP, helps clients define what they need and how it can be delivered. We work with clients to define their projects' scope in as much detail as possible using advanced financial, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. We provide realistic cost estimates that account for projects' phases and activities, people, materials, hardware, and software and produce the best- and worst-case estimates using leading-edge project and client management software to keep clients' projects on track and on cost.

Qualifications
Required:
• Sophomore standing in a in a full-time academic program in one of these related majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, and Business Management with a target graduation date between December 2021 and June 2022
• Strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.2)
• Solid understanding of fundamental accounting and finance principles
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as a member of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to "think outside the box" while identifying problems and developing creative solutions
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

How You'll Grow
As an EFAMP Mentee, your time spent with Deloitte EFA's will provide you with education, experience, and exposure to opportunities that will help you build career. You'll be enrolled in a 1-year program in which you will participate in calls and/or meetings with Deloitte mentors about various topics, to begin your exploration of Deloitte and specifically, Engagement Financial Advisor Practice. You will also build your network by engaging with other Deloitte professionals and students through in-person events and virtual connections. Upon completion of the program, you will have the option to continue into junior and senior year as an informal mentor to future participants.

Deloitte National Leadership Conference Interview
If you are chosen for the program, you will also have an opportunity to interview for the Deloitte National Leadership Conference (DNLC). Our multi-day conference connects students from colleges and universities across the country and professionals from Deloitte US Firms. During the conference, you will:
• Build your leadership, strategic thinking, and creative problem-solving skills in workshops and networking activities at Deloitte University in Westlake, Texas
• Receive formal and informal mentorship and training
• Attend our leadership workshops and networking activities to provide a view into the technical skills, critical professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets needed to succeed as a business leader
• Participate in team-based exercises, gain valuable first-hand experience while working on real-world business challenges, and meet a diverse group of talented students and Deloitte team members. Explore Deloitte University, The Leadership Center.
