Research Analyst - Multi-Asset Strategies

The Research Analyst position is a unique role responsible for conducting investment research and producing institutional quality written content for the Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Strategies ( FTMAS) investment team. FTMAS is a global investment management group dedicated to multi-strategy solutions. FTMAS employs both strategic and tactical asset allocation to create diversified outcome-oriented portfolios to produce strong, risk-adjusted performance over the long term.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fundamental and quantitative research on Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Solutions (FTMAS) portfolios, totaling over $100 Billion AUM and AUA, and provide top down research and analysis on asset classes, regions and sectors
  • Collaborate with senior members of the global investment team to extract insights, develop and produce written commentaries, white papers, presentations and thought leadership pieces on market trends, investment outlooks, portfolio strategies, etc.
  • Prepare materials for internal research and portfolio management meetings, manage the monthly development and distribution of FTMAS asset allocation views, and develop ad-hoc reports and research materials in support of FTMAS advisory and portfolio clients
  • Provide research and analysis for external client portfolio reviews, communicate market views to internal and external business partners, produce custom client research reports, thought leadership papers and external research presentations, and coordinate third party research meetings


Qualifications
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years relevant investment research and/or investment marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • An MBA, CFA or related financial accreditation is preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of global financial markets across asset classes and investment concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of global financial markets across asset classes and investment concepts
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to capture complex ideas, synthesize information, and write clearly and concisely in an informative and persuasive manner
  • Ability to deliver institutional quality content with a high degree of technical knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to speak passionately and persuasively about financial markets, investment concepts and processes to a broad range of internal and external clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with senior executives, investment teams and other internal and external partners
  • Strong technical skills in Bloomberg, DataStream, and Excel
