About The Team
Global Banking & Markets (GBAM) Technology provides end-to-end technology solutions and support for Global Banking and Global Markets businesses including; Equities, Electronic Trading, Fixed Income, Rates, Currencies, Credit, Commodities, Structured Products, and Wholesale Banking and Research.

The Portfolio Governance & Execution team within GBAM Technology manages the overall integrated portfolio of change with a core focus on driving best-in-class delivery execution to optimize investments in cross-organizational capabilities.

Your Role
As a senior member of the of the team the candidate will be governing the delivery of all programs in a complex and highly interdependent portfolio of change to provide the Business, Chief Information Officer, Senior Leadership team and control partners with transparency, insight and greater traceability of programs from business outcomes down to code commits.

  • Own and enhance standardized governance and reporting routines that proactively remediate Project roadblocks, elevate macro dependencies and provide an escalation channel to the Senior Leadership team.
  • Define and implement a target state operating model to integrate Business, Technology and Operations teams.
  • Drive the adoption of new methodologies to uplift project execution performance and streamline business management processes.
  • Leverage data mining and analysis techniques to evaluate Portfolio health trends and define KPIs with acceptable thresholds.
  • Develop and share an independent 'point of view' on the portfolio execution and define improvement opportunities to enable greater productivity and collaboration across delivery teams.
  • Lead the Program/Project Management best practices framework, drive adoption across the organization and track adherence to standards.
  • Support team lead in managing, recruiting and developing resources on various value driven projects and governance routines to optimize the overall portfolio delivery.
  • Work with development teams to build, test and deploy best in class Project Management systems.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate will have a wide and versatile skillset and bring 10+ years of experience managing teams (virtual and direct) with a track record delivering and governing large-scale programs in the Financial services industry including:
  • A working knowledge of various Banking, Markets, Risk, Compliance and Finance technology and business functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable influencing individuals across the spectrum from developers to Executives in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Business outcome oriented with an ability to challenge peers and senior leaders, breakdown complex problems and successfully manage through challenging situations.
  • Applied data analysis skills including data access, manipulation and presentation using common tools with some experience with Business Intelligence / predictive analytics.
  • Project management and process optimization mindset.
  • Experience with large scale Program Management and ensuring adherence to Enterprise Change policies and procedures.
