Communications: Solutions Offering Commercial Lead

Position Overview

We are looking for a business leader with digital and domain experience in Communications to join the Chief Digital Officer & Industry Solutions organization to cement Cognizant as the Preferred Digital Partner with our most strategic accounts that include Telcos and CSPs. Being a Preferred Digital Partner means that multiple leaders within the client organization consider our us as their trusted advisors, and collaborate with us to define, shape and execute their digital agenda – across our clients' business, marketing, operational and technology models. The digital agenda crystallizes how these leaders will leverage ‘digital' to best achieve their strategic & measurable business goals. This may include aspects such as defining strategy, design-led re-engineering and building underlying enabling technology solutions and platforms.

In order to achieve this, you will need to engage with various internal capability groups responsible for our industry solutions and offerings and bring the best of Cognizant to clients. You will need to be the go-to person for all matters Communications for Cognizant's market facing teams for your solution portfolio and directly influence their development working with internal technical teams and partners.


Some of the key expectations of a commercial leader:

  • \t Responsible for sales growth and margin at our top tier clients for Communications solution offerings.

  • \t Through active engagement with account teams and executives at Telcos and CSPs, you will define the business requirements and capabilities needed for our industry solutions for Neo Networks management and monetization which will include end-to-end management of programmable networks and offering “Telecom as a Horizontal”
    \t

In order to achieve this, you likely have the following:
    \t
  • \t Minimum 8 years' industry experience
    \t
  • \t
  • \t 3+ years of relevant consulting experience selling end-to-end solutions to VP and above buyers/stakeholders
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Proven track record as a direct or significant contributor to large deals ($5m+) comprising of multiple service lines (e.g. consulting + SI + infrastructure)
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Extensive experience building and influencing new relationships outside the office of the CIO
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Ability to traverse technical and non-technical domains related to interactive, AI & Analytics, IoT, Cloud Infrastructure, Managed Services, BPO and Digital Engineering
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Candidate will have experience at a global consulting firm or extensive industry experience shaping and selling end-to-end business solutions across multiple customers
    \t

You are well versed in all of the following communications domain areas (including relevant vendors, platforms and partner ecosystem):

  • \t Network Domain: Network management and operations (OSS), Revenue and customer management (BSS), core network and network functions virtualization (NFV), Infrastructure, and Applications
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Managed network ICT services: Managing and optimizing telecom networks and IT operations
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Emerging technologies - Industry 4.0, IoT, Security and Edge computing
    \t
  • \t
  • \t Telecom as a horizontal: Go-to-market IoT use case design and implementation
    \t
