North American Banking (NAB) is responsible for corporate, investment and sponsor banking coverage, financial advisory, and the execution of corporate lending and syndication products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Mizuho management in coordinating and implementing Mizuho’s Corporate Banking strategy through targeted qualitative and quantitative plans, client targeting and alignment, wallet share analysis and pipeline management
  • Develop and create presentation and strategy papers to be presented to Senior Management, Head Office and various Boards
  • Develop financial models that are used to measure division's performance. Prepare dashboards, key metrics, and PL/BS statement.
  • Research, collect and maintain financial and operational data for bench marking and performance ranking. Analyze historical trends, and present findings
  • Develop financial models that are used to measure division's performance. Prepare dashboards, key metrics, and PL/BS statement.
  • Monitor revenue pipeline, and project future revenues for the division
  • Analyze market data to understand volume trends, market share and competitive positioning
  • Oversee Analyst and Administrative staff in the production of presentation and analysis to insure accuracy and data quality
  • Work with the division's senior management and provide ad-hoc analysis and work on strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with other divisions, head office, and oversea branches to meet firm's financial reporting requirements
  • Coordinate with Systems and Operations divisions to improve current reporting processes and work flow efficiencies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting
  • 3-5 years of financial reporting experience in leading financial institutions (front office preferred) and/or experience in Big4 public accounting
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced), Access, and Power Point
  • Strong data reporting experience, and knowledge in Salesforce, Dealogic, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Capital IQ, and Hyperion, preferred
  • Working knowledge of corporate banking and capital market products
  • Attention to detail, strong quantitative skills, and high commitment to data accuracy
  • Demonstrate sense of urgency in meeting challenging deadlines and achieving goals
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with excellent written and verbal communication skills
