The ICG FRM team provides in-business leadership and subject matter expertise on capital, liquidity, tax and other financial resource management issues with a primary purpose of driving greater efficiency and flexibility of resource consumption.
ICG FRM takes the lead in managing the capital, liquidity and other scarce financial resources of Citi's Institutional Client's Group (ICG). It also has the responsibility for optimizing after tax returns for the ICG. The FRM Bank Structuring team works with the Business, partnering with colleagues in Finance and Tax to ensure that ICG operates as efficiently as it can, given its global footprint and operating model. Our ability to drive efficiency in these areas will continue to be a significant determinant of our future global competitiveness.
The FRM Bank Structuring SVP will play a leading role in helping to manage the after-tax returns of the ICG. The role will include developing new strategies through deal structuring, business planning and other front office business management responsibilities. The FRM Bank Structuring SVP will be an expert at data driven analysis and will develop financial models to validate and properly measure the impact of strategies for the ICG.[ The role will also include managing existing projects and producing clear reports for management.
In this position, you will report into the ICG FRM Bank Structuring NAM head and will co-locate within the FRM Bank Structuring team in New York. You will also work closely with our Tax, Treasury and Financial Control as well as Technology and other key subject matter experts, and will have broad exposure across all ICG Businesses including Senior Management, Product, Sales and Trading managers and individuals and Operations/Middle Office.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the development and implementation of strategies to maximize after-tax returns of the ICG using complex data analytics and an understanding of the Businesses to ensure that the strategic plans are deliverable and consistent with the firm's priorities

• Manage and further develop existing strategies. This will involve complex data analysis, questioning and validation of data outcomes while working closely with ICG Businesses

• Develop and maintain glide-paths to measure the impact of FRM Bank Structuring strategies with the ICG Business plan and track performance against goals

• Identify, organize, and make accessible data that is relevant / valuable in these efforts, while helping to improve data quality, structures and flow in close collaboration with key partners

• Develop supporting presentations to senior management on performance of FRM Bank Structuring
Key Competencies:
Technical Skills
• Formal training in either accounting or tax or both
• Expertise in either US tax or Citi's accounting systems and at least an understanding of both
• Very high ability to develop an analysis, interpretation, and presentation
• Good understanding of financial market products and their US GAAP accounting

• Familiarity with bank ledger systems

• Bachelor's degree with qualifications in Accounting or Tax (ACCA, CTA, CPA or equivalent), or other related field
• 510+ years relevant experience in the Financial Services industry with specific focus on accounting, accounting systems or tax planning and strategy
• A demonstrated history of delivering on initiatives
• Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm
• An ability to manage personal workload and agenda independently but in alignment with the priorities of the business unit
• Ability to work under pressure in a highly professional Front Office environment
