About this role

Your team

As a member of the Talent Strategy Center of Excellence, you will work on some of the firm's most strategic, complex, and highly-valued talent projects. We work closely with senior firm leaders and HR Business Partners to develop both firm-wide talent strategy and business-specific, custom talent strategies and projects.

Your role and impact

We are seeking a Talent Partner who will design and deliver tailored talent strategy projects for our growth businesses via a consultative model. Our Talent Partners focus on priority areas where there is significant business benefit achievable within 1-2 years from driving a few focused talent initiatives. Talent innovations delivered in these businesses can then be scaled to the broader enterprise.

You will scope and contract this work in partnership with Lead Business Partners, ensuring appropriate balance of business-specific customization, consistency across emerging talent fields (e.g., career paths, org design, employee value proposition) and link to scale offerings (e.g., recognition/development programs, learning, performance management and promotions).

Your responsibilities

  • Partner with the Lead HRBP to define a comprehensive & measurable talent strategy that reflects business priorities, competitive landscape, and input from employees

  • Design and implementing a defined set of talent initiatives, in partnership with the HRBP team

  • Establish project objectives, driving consensus and communicating plans and results to partners and management

  • Lead virtual and cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects to completion

  • Analyze, assess, and report on progress against talent strategy and select initiatives

  • Stay up-to-date on talent and market trends impacting BlackRock and your business areas of focus
You have...

  • Experience in organization, culture, or leadership strategy work

  • Project management experience: able to coordinate internal resources and partners for flawless execution of projects

  • Ability to clearly articulate objectives and influence outcomes

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Results-oriented and proactive working style: able to show initiative and come up with ideas without prompting

  • Ability to make connections across your work, the Talent Management Centers of Excellence, and the broader HR agenda
