As a Desk Analyst aligned to Fixed Income, you will work directly with our traders to ensure all of our trading activity is processed and executed successfully. You will analyze trading data and look for ways to optimize processes that help drive business decisions on our desk. In this role, you will have the opportunity to merge your product knowledge and technical capabilities to directly impact the business.

  • You will work directly on our Fixed Income trading desk, acting as the front line support for the day to day activities of our traders
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of fixed income trading and problem solving capabilities, as you research and resolve trade issues, errors and trader inquires that occur on our fast paced trading desk
  • Responsibilities include monitoring and reconciling trade positions, preparing trading P&L, exposure and risk reporting, as well as the overall maintenance of the trading environment
  • Communicate with clearing agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure all trades are processed successfully, directly impacting the success of our business
  • Identify areas for enhancements, by both recommending and partnering with our technology teams to drive strategic change to the trading platforms we develop internally

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree required; specialization in Finance or a related discipline preferred
  • 6+ years of operations, trade support or related experience required
  • Experience with settlement and matching process for bonds (Municipal and Corporate Bonds on DTC, U.S. Treasuries on FED and GSCC, and Emerging Market Bonds on Euroclear)
  • Knowledge of over the counter (OTC) and cleared Fixed Income derivatives including CDS, CDX, Interest Rate Swaps and Swaptions
  • Experience with prime brokerage financing and REPO markets
  • Understanding of Profit and Loss calculation as well as Risk and Regulatory Reporting
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Access
  • VBA, SQL and/or scripting (i.e. Python) ability a plus
