The Cloud Infrastructure Services Business Unit is Cageminis consulting,infrastructure build, migrate and run capabilities with the provisioning andsupport of cloud based services. With EUR 1.5 billion annual revenue, CloudInfra Services provides infrastructure outsourcing services, including datacenter, helpdesk and network support, as well as providing serviceintegration and service maintenance support. Other services includeinfrastructure transformation services, helping clients consolidate and migrateworkloads and entire datacenters. Main Purpose of the Role:


The Cloud Solution Architect is a client facing role in the project deliverycycle.  This role will work closely with clients, partners and otherbusiness units to ensure consulting engagements are successful.  The roleis responsible for understanding the clients business needs and clearlytranslating the Statement of Work to the successful delivery of the Project. The candidate will be expected to work as part of a delivery team, workingalongside overall project manager to deliver a successful cloud consultingengagement.  He/she must be fully flexible and mobile across the US andpossibly EMEA for extended periods and potentially across the Capgemini Group

Essential skills,knowledge & experience:

The include theability to understand and communicate the following at an executive level bothinternally and externally:

AWS Architecture experienceideally with the appropriate vendor certification

Understanding ofhybrid cloud solutions and experience of integrating public cloud intotradition hosting/delivery models

Strongunderstanding of cloud migration techniques (on premise to Cloud Platforms)

Configuration anddeployment experience in three or more of the following:

  AWS apps technologies such as RDS, ElasticBeanstalk

  AWS IaaS Technologies

  Deployed applications with Web UI frontends

  Deployed application with RESTful/SOAPservices interfaces

  Experience building private AMIs on VPCs

  LAMP Stack and Linux experience

  High Availability and Disaster recoveryimplementations

  Experience of designing and implementingapplication and infrastructure  monitoring solutions

Experiencearchitecting and deploying multi-tiered applications.

Experience inarchitecting security architectures across infrastructure and applications

Experiencebuilding and deploying multi-tier, scalable, and highly available applicationsusing Java, Microsoft and Database technologies

Experience inperformance tuning, including the following ; (load balancing, web servers,content delivery Networks, Caching (Content and API))

Experience asprincipal technical lead on at least one major project.

Good understandingof application architectures

Demonstrableexperience in the elicitation & specification of architectural, functionaland non-functional requirements

A goodappreciation of the cost drivers in systems delivery and operations and thecommercial consequences of the technical decisions made by you and/or others

Ability to developproductive client relationships at different management levels and identify anddevelop opportunities for new business

Desirable skills,knowledge & experience:

AWS trained /certified architect e.g. Amazon Certified Solutions Architect Associate orProfessional Level

Architectural certification(e.g TOGAF)

Experience ofimplementing architectural governance and proactively managing issues and risksthroughout the delivery lifecycle.

Good familiaritywith the disciplines of enterprise software development such as configuration& release management, source code & version controls, and operationalconsiderations such as monitoring and instrumentation

Experience ofconsulting or service provider roles (internal, or external);

Strong knowledgeon software development methodologies like Agile/Scrum, Kan Ban etc. Broadunderstanding of enterprise project lifecycle

AWS certificationin any of the following - Solutions Architect, Developer or Systems Ops

A gooddegree-level education is highly desirable

Team lead andprogramme or project management experience

Experience usingdatabase technologies like Oracle, MySQL is required and understanding ofNoSQL, MongoDB is preferred.

ISO27001/2certification

Redshift / Datawarehouse experience

Extensiveautomation experience with either Chef or Puppet

Experience indesigning or implementing data warehouse solutions is highly preferred.

DevOps experience
