BKD Capital Advisors, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BKD, LLP, is currently seeking a regional market leader.

**This position can be based out of Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Little Rock, or Oklahoma City.

This investment banking professional will have a background of high-quality engagement execution, strong marketing skills, and a broad network. Your primary responsibility will be growing a practice through the execution of investment banking engagements, new business development, including lead generation, and relationship management. This position represents a significant career opportunity for the right individual.

  • Manage investment banking transactions - Deal origination, engagement and execution for merger & acquisition, debt and equity financing, company divestitures, and strategic options analysis engagements.
  • Client/prospect interaction - Develop internal and external relationships to source M&A transactions, prepare and deliver client/prospect presentations, work closely with LLP partners/managers and initiatives groups in developing client relationships and marketing strategies.
  • Marketing support- Prepare and execute business development strategies including, participate in corporate finance-related industry conferences and public speaking opportunities, assist in developing articles, marketing letters, news releases, and other avenues to generate exposure and build the brand.
  • Team building – Contribute to a high-performing national investment banking practice through active coaching, mentoring, and recruiting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or an MBA required
  • The FINRA Series 7 or 79 required
  • Prior experience at a market-leading investment banking firm
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing distribution, technology, and business services, healthcare and/or energy strongly preferred
  • Thorough understanding of capital advisory services and the M&A process, sell-side and buy-side representation, debt/equity/distressed restructurings, creating buyer/seller strategies, deal structuring, and negotiation
  • Previous success and proven track record in new business development and closing investment banking transactions (book of business contacts)
  • Deep understanding of the capital marketplace, including deal multiples, pricing, structure, potential financing sources and buyers, and an ability to develop capital-raising strategies and execute upon those strategies
  • Significant client interaction and experience, particularly showing the ability to develop strong and influential client relationships
  • Willingness and ability for occasional travel when necessary
