Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to conduct hardware and software integration testing in support of NASA operations. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and conduct the hardware and software interfaces between the Orion Multi-purpose Crew Vehicle, the Space Launch System, and the Exploration Ground System. You'll develop your skills in hardware and software integration testing while gaining experience in human spaceflight. Grow your skills by merging mechanical systems and software controls to verify and certify flight-ready software. Travel between locations will be required a few weeks out of the year, and you will be expected to work shift work during testing of systems. You Have:

  • Experience with software-driven electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with team-driven hardware-software integration testing
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as C, C++, Python
  • Ability to work in and communicate with a multi-discipline team
  • Ability to travel 6 to 8 weeks throughout the year in support of test operations while working 2nd or 3rd shift during testing
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with technical integration of systems developed in a multi-organization environments
  • Experience with spacecraft testing, processing, or launch operations
  • Knowledge of hardware-in-the-loop simulation and test systems
  • Knowledge of spacecraft avionics and software systems
  • MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
