The European DataWarehouse (ED) is the first central data warehouse in Europe for collecting, validating and making available for download detailed, standardised and asset class specific loan level data (LLD) for Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) transactions. Developed, owned and operated by the market, ED helps to facilitate risk assessment and to improve transparency standards for European ABS deals.

This role will be expected to ensure the consistency and quality of our deals and contribute to the design of processes and tools to build datasets by analysing raw data and converting it into information useful for analysis and decision-making by customers. This role will interact frequently with external clients and includes close coordination with our internal departments.

The focus on data usability and data quality will extend to the development and shaping of innovative data products and processes for future software product development.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Analyse loan level data (RMBS, SME, Auto, Leasing and Consumer ABS transactions) and update our financial instruments performance database to leverage the information to the benefit of our customers
  • Design and improve existing quality control processes to ensure high quality ABS loan level data
  • Creating and improving the current SQL rule set to automate the identification of inconsistencies in loan level data
  • Analysis of the investor report information and reconciliation with loan level data
  • Close communication with data owners and data providers in all questions around loan-level-data upload, data usage, data quality
  • Publishing Deal Commentaries
  • Support Projects
  • Keeping up to date on the latest developments in the ABS market

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance / Economics / Banking / Statistics or Mathematics
  • 2 – 4 years of relevant experience
  • Broad and detailed knowledge and practical experience in the securitization market
  • Strong data and quantitative analysis skills
  • Understanding of modeling data sets
  • Experience in risk analysis
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and international environment
  • Commitment to enhancing and developing products and processes
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Attention to detail
  • Very good communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • French speaking is a must
  • Project Management skills are a plus
  • Programming skills in database management applications, VBA, SQL, a plus
