About our client
Our client, an agile and independent investment holding company is looking for a bright and motivated Associate to join their team in Hamburg. Investing on the one hand in the energy / chemicals sector and on the other hand diversifying beyond those existing industries, they hold a strong track record of more than 75 years. As an Associate you will be working as part of the investment team across all stages of the deal cycle, including the evaluation of new target companies and execution of deals, through portfolio management and the ultimate exit of investments.
What the job involves

• Working closely with investment partners to ensure that all investments are made, managed and monitored to the highest standard
• Active involvement in all aspects of the deal cycle, from origination to execution and supporting portfolio companies in strong cooperation with your team
• Assessing the viability of investments through financial modelling as well as conducting market and strategic analyses
• Short decision-making processes with the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibility

Who we are looking for

• Strong educational record (bachelor's or master's degree) from a reputable university
• Prior professional M&A experience from an investment bank, management consulting or accounting firm
• Exceptional commercial / financial analysis skills and excellent commercial judgement
• Excellent English skills are required
