Position Objectives & Responsibilities

The Junior Analyst works in a team which provides analytical services for local Operations. He/she will provide credit risk opinions and recommendations to proposals received from the country Operations/Sales Organization. The analysis provided includes, but is not limited to, repayment capacity, operating results, credit/asset base, collateral, etc., of corporate customers via various financial products. These risk opinions and recommendations should provide the approval authority the risk perspective to make an informed decision of the associated risks. The speed and quality of this analysis directly affects OVF’s ability to increase earnings and profitable assets and contributes to OVF’s competitive advantage. The Junior Analyst will also actively assist in team projects to improve the credit analysis process and continuously improve cooperation with Operations/Sales.

Knowledge & Education:

  • Obtains relevant and key information needed to allow an appropriate level of analysis to provide a solid credit/rating recommendation
  • Analyses existing and new applications quickly, efficiently and effectively, providing expedient turnaround
  • Recognizes and correctly interprets signs of increasing risk
  • Provides appropriate recommendations that mitigate risks identified to approval authorities
  • Ensures adequate security is in place
  • Supports the business in assessing business opportunities
  • Works as part of a team to ensure performance goals are met

Qualifications & Experience

  • Economics/business studies at a university with an appropriate degree/certificate or equivalent (Bachelor, Master).
  • Experience gained in a wholesale department of a OVF branch or in comparable departments (preferred)

Skills & Knowledge

  • Fluent English/German verbal and written
  • Knowledge of corporate financial statements (including balance sheets, profit & loss and cash flow statements) and knowledge and/or experience in using different applicable analysis tools, methods and ratios.
  • PC literate, especially MS Office (Word/Excel).
  • Knowledge of German/International accounting standards
  • Knowledge of German corporate law
  • Knowledge of the internal workings of a car dealership
  • Knowledge of different types of commercial security
  • Knowledge of forecasting techniques
  • Knowledge of insolvency/conversion procedure
