Sr. Project Delivery Lead (Having a Baby Support Services)

Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Sr. Project Delivery Lead to support a government digital service transformation effort focused on improving the birth registration experience for citizens. This work will involve identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, reduce administrative burden, and improve coordination across programs and services.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate project activities across multiple interested parties and partner organizations.
• Lead project planning, issue resolution, risk management, and delivery tracking.
• Establish governance and reporting mechanisms.
• Facilitate decision-making and escalation processes.
• Ensure alignment between policy, business, operational, and technical work streams.
• Drive completion of project deliverables and milestones.
• Support executive briefings and governance committees.
• Support agile, hybrid, or iterative delivery planning
• Coordinate sprint/iteration planning, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning where appropriate
• Manage dependencies and blockers across business, policy, operations, and technical teams
• Support product owner / business owner alignment
• Connect agile delivery progress to executive governance and reporting

Requirements:

Must Have:
• Minimum 7 years of project leadership or project management experience.
• Experience leading multi-interested parties' transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Experience preparing executive-level communications and reporting.

Preference may be given for the following:
• Experience in public sector transformation initiatives.
• Experience leading digital government service projects.
• Experience supporting cross-organizational governance.
• Experience with life-event or citizen service modernization initiatives.

Deliverables:

The Resource will provide the following services:
• The Resource will provide project leadership, coordination, and delivery oversight to ensure project objectives are achieved. Deliverables may include project plans, status reporting, governance materials, risk and issue management documentation, implementation roadmaps, change planning artifacts, decision-support materials, and executive briefings.
• In addition to standard project management deliverables, the Resource may be required to support agile and iterative delivery practices as appropriate to the project environment. Deliverables may include prioritized backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint or iteration plans, decision logs, retrospectives, and release planning materials to support iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
