Sr. Business Analyst (Avalanche Transformation)

Job Description:



On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst to support the SAWSx project. They are in the process of developing a new system critical to the ministry's Avalanche and Weather Program (AWP) operations. This system supports AWP staff in ensuring the safety of the travelling public and the efficient movement of goods through avalanche corridors in the province.




Requirements:



Must Have:

• Minimum 8 years of business analysis experience within the last 10 years.

• Experience leading interested party engagement and requirements gathering.

• Experience documenting business processes and future-state models.

• Experience preparing business requirements and recommendations.

• Agile business analysis

• User stories and acceptance criteria

• Backlog refinement and prioritization

• Working with product owners / business owners

• Supporting digital service or product teams

• Iterative discovery and delivery



Preference may be given for the following:

• Three (3) years' experience interacting professionally and productively with a wide variety of people in diverse roles (e.g., executives, contractors, vendors, technical experts, development team, naïve users) to develop and implement:



o automated business processes,



o service agreements with service consumers and suppliers,



o appropriate service management processes,



o training/educational materials,



o user acceptance testing/business verification testing and



o application maintenance support




Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis activities for the Having a Baby initiative.

• Analyze current state processes, policies, systems, data flows, and client interactions.

• Facilitate workshops and interested party engagement sessions.

• Document business requirements and process improvements.

• Develop future-state business processes and service models.
