As a Mission Lead, you'll lead the successful delivery of strategic employee experience missions, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to solve workforce challenges and deliver meaningful outcomes. You'll create clarity around mission objectives, mobilise the right capabilities and ensure every mission delivers measurable value for our people, leaders and the organisation.

Do Work That Matters

Working closely with HR Centres of Excellence, technology teams, designers, data specialists, AI product teams and business stakeholders, you'll bring together the right expertise to deliver employee experience missions that solve workforce challenges and create meaningful outcomes.

You'll lead missions from discovery through implementation, adoption and value realisation, ensuring every solution improves the moments that matter across the employee lifecycle.

Success in this role requires someone who can combine product thinking, human-centred design, delivery leadership and stakeholder management to create lasting impact.

Role Overview

As a Mission Lead, you'll lead the successful delivery of strategic employee experience missions, translating mission objectives into practical solutions that improve the experiences of our people and leaders.

You'll balance employee needs, business priorities, technology opportunities and risk considerations to deliver solutions that are simple, intuitive and impactful. Through collaboration, influence and strong delivery leadership, you'll mobilise multidisciplinary teams, maintain momentum and ensure mission outcomes deliver measurable value for employees, leaders and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Employee Experience Missions
  • Lead the successful delivery of employee experience missions from discovery through implementation, adoption and value realisation.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand employee needs, business priorities and workforce challenges that inform mission objectives.
  • Define mission objectives, success measures and delivery priorities aligned to business outcomes.
  • Translate mission objectives into actionable delivery plans that enable successful execution.
  • Develop problem statements, recommendations and supporting business cases that inform mission planning and prioritisation.
  • Mobilise multidisciplinary teams around a shared mission, creating clarity of purpose, alignment and momentum.

Lead Cross-Functional Mission Teams
  • Lead multidisciplinary mission teams bringing together expertise across HR, technology, design, data, AI and operations.
  • Lead discovery, planning and solution design activities that identify opportunities to improve employee experiences.
  • Apply human-centred design, product thinking and data-driven decision-making to develop practical employee experience solutions.
  • Build strong relationships across HR, Technology, Risk, Operations and Business teams to align priorities and deliver shared outcomes.
  • Create clarity, alignment and shared accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.

Deliver Meaningful Outcomes
  • Coordinate delivery activities to ensure work remains aligned to mission objectives.
  • Balance employee needs, business priorities, technology opportunities and risk considerations throughout delivery.
  • Manage dependencies, risks and delivery challenges, escalating where appropriate.
  • Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and stakeholder discussions that support effective decision-making and collaboration.
  • Drive accountability for delivery commitments and mission outcomes.
  • Ensure delivered solutions are successfully adopted, embedded and continuously improved.
  • Measure mission success through employee, operational and business outcomes, using insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Apply AI, digital platforms and emerging technologies to improve employee experiences and simplify HR services.
  • Apply contemporary practices, human-centred design and continuous improvement approaches to enhance mission outcomes.
  • Use employee insights, research and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve experiences and delivery outcomes.
  • Share learnings and leading practices across mission teams to strengthen delivery capability.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of mission delivery practices and our mission-led ways of working.

We're Interested in Hearing From People Who Have
  • Experience leading employee experience, product, organisational change, digital transformation or workforce transformation initiatives.
  • A background in HR, consulting, service design, product management, customer experience, digital or transformation environments.
  • Experience applying human-centred design, product thinking or service design approaches to solve employee and business challenges.
  • Demonstrated understanding of employee experience principles and designing experiences around key moments that matter.
  • Experience applying technology, AI and digital capabilities to improve employee experiences and organisational outcomes.
  • Strong delivery leadership with the ability to translate mission objectives into practical solutions and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Experience using data, insights and research to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • A passion for AI, digital innovation and improving employee experiences.
  • A proven track record of delivering meaningful employee, customer or business outcomes.
