We are looking for an organised and proactive Office Assistant/Receptionist to join our Sydney office on a six-month, full-time contract.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining office support and reception responsibilities. Applications are welcome from candidates on Working Holiday Visas as well as those with ongoing Australian work rights.

The role is office-based five days per week. Mondays and Fridays will primarily cover reception, while Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays will focus on Office Assistant duties. Flexibility is essential, as additional reception cover may be required.

The Role

Office Support
  • Prepare, collate and distribute digital and hard-copy briefs, ShareFile links and other documents for counsel, experts and external parties.
  • Manage high-volume printing, scanning, photocopying, PDF editing and secure data transfers, coordinating external suppliers where required.
  • Coordinate court filing, mail, couriers, document deliveries, archiving and retrieval.
  • Maintain shared office areas, printers and stationery supplies to ensure the workplace remains organised and ready for use.

Reception Support
  • Provide professional reception cover, welcoming clients and visitors, managing enquiries and serving refreshments as required.
  • Operate the Sydney and Brisbane switchboards through Teams, directing calls, taking messages and coordinating temporary passes and office visits.
  • Manage meeting room bookings and coordinate room set-up, pack-down and catering for meetings, seminars and events.
  • Maintain welcoming and well-presented shared areas, including meeting rooms and kitchens, ensuring supplies are stocked and shared facilities are maintained, including loading and unloading dishwashers as required.

About You
  • Availability to commit to the full six-month contract and work from the office five days a week. Candidates on Working Holiday Visas are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in office administration, facilities, reception, hospitality or another service-focused environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proactive, hands-on and personable, with a commitment to delivering excellent service and maintaining a professional workplace.
