Your new role
As Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in establishing a strategic roadmap for AI-ready research data architecture and infrastructure. This is not a traditional project coordination role. We're seeking a hands-on leader who can engage stakeholders, facilitate complex discussions, undertake analysis, produce high-quality documentation and help translate ambitious ideas into practical outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of a Research Data Architecture Uplift Roadmap
- Assessing current-state capabilities, architecture and maturity
- Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
- Conducting capability, risk and gap assessments
- Developing future-state design principles and conceptual architectures
- Producing business cases, recommendations and investment priorities
- Coordinating delivery activities across multiple stakeholder groups
- Engaging with senior executives, research leaders and technical specialists
- Driving tangible outcomes and ensuring progress from concept through to implementation planning.
We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead, Program Manager or Senior Project Manager who can confidently operate between strategy, technology and business outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience delivering complex technology, data or infrastructure initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement at executive level
- Exceptional facilitation, communication and documentation capabilities
- Experience developing business cases, roadmaps and strategic recommendations
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and contemporary delivery practices
- The ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex problems
- Experience working across multidisciplinary technical and business teams.
- Research, higher education or research infrastructure environments
- Data platforms, research data management or information architecture
- AI, advanced analytics or high-performance computing initiatives
- Regulatory, risk and compliance-focused environments
- Experience working with research, scientific or academic stakeholders.
