About the team
You will be joining the team focusing on BASE Global which is a cards platform with advance capabilities for schemes (Union Pay and JCB supported), region requirements (Australian, New Zealand, Thailand and UK regulations supported) and is upgraded in 6 annual releases implementing around 10,000 days of development p.a
What you will be doing
In this role, you will be reporting to the BASE Global Application Development Manager, the position will be part of the Change Control Development Team and will be responsible for producing technical design documents to meet business requirements, developing and testing enhancements to the BASE Global system and analysing and resolving defects.

  • You will understand functional requirements and interpret business designs to produce accurate and comprehensive technical designs from which coding will be done by the same person or by other developers.
  • You will perform coding and unit testing based on technical designs and in accordance to defined standards.
  • You will provide on-call support for BASE Global batch runs once a week every 6 weeks.
  • You will provide application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
  • 5-7 years' in CICS, COBOL, JCL, TSO, VSAM.
  • Experience in cards and/or payments industry (BASE Global, BASE2000, Vision Plus preferred).
  • Extensive experience in application development, maintenance and support.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.

  • Skills in the following areas would be of advantage: Endevor, File Manager, DB2, OPC/TWS, REXX, Assembler, AS2805, Connect:Direct, IBM Performance Analyser, IBM Fault Analyser, TRIAD, Jira, FTP, SFTP.
