Our client has recently formed a Debt/Loan Fund. In support of this, they are looking for an Associate to join their team in Sydney.

This listed fund has experienced exceptional momentum and consequent market support post its ASX debut. In addition to a highly respected Advisory, Asset Management and Equities business, our client has recently formed a Debt/Loan Fund to be deployed across a wide range of high yield investments. In support of this, they are looking for an Associate to join the team to work directly with the Head of Debt Investments. 

As an Associate, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end credit process and the preparation of detailed credit papers & investment memorandums to facilitate informed investment decisions – across a range of industry sectors and asset classes. This will also involve managing a diverse suite of stakeholders, including the investment committee, institutional & private investors, through the credit and investment process; assisting with deal execution, due diligence and providing support to the broader investment team. 

Ideally, you will have about 3-6 years relevant experience, gained from within a major commercial bank, investment bank, private equity firm, a debt fund or advisory firm. You will be able to demonstrate a strong technical skill base including: strong credit risk management skills, the ability to prepare & present investment committee papers and the ability to structure, review, negotiate & document the necessary elements of a transaction. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are mandatory as well as you look to make an impact on the broader investment and leadership team.
