The Business Development Manager will focus on effectively acquiring new-to-bank customers for Diners Club to deliver strategic new business growth in the Corporate cards sector using expert business development and relationship selling skills.
In this role some of your accountabilities will include:
  • Business Development
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline, and ensure all new opportunities and leads are actioned
  • Proactively develop and foster strategic relationships with industry partners and third party suppliers to maximise business opportunities for both parties and deliver enhanced value propositions Prospect and win new business in accordance with targets and the Diners Club Business Development Plan
  • Complete reporting requirements in a timely and detailed manner including but not limited to weekly reporting, prospect database, pipeline and performance management documentation
  • Develop cross functional / cross team relationships to ensure opportunities are booked
  • Manage internal compliance and reporting requirements as required
  • Be part of and contribute to the Business Development Team to assist the business to achieve their objectives
  • Represent the Diners Club brand and promote high levels of professionalism
  • Work closely with Finance, Risk, Marketing and Technology teams to deliver integrated strategies for target customers
  • Develop cross functional / cross team relationships to ensure opportunities are booked
  • Embrace company values and adhere to Diners Club/Citi policies


A successful candidate will have the following:
  • Strong knowledge of commercial card products, systems and processes
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Word/Excel/Outlook/PPT
  • Extensive experience in corporate business development and relationship management
  • Experience with a CRM database
  • Understanding of compliance & HR procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven problem solving abilities including negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand corporate financial business drivers and technology needs
  • Proven experience and track record in Sales
  • Ability to respond to issues and deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work load
