We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant with genuine Business Partnering experience to join us on an 18 month fixed term contract . About the team
Meet the National Finance team - a multidisciplinary team of accountants and technical experts that essentially keep the company running. We provide strategic business and financial advice, management reporting and accounting support to Deloitte. We're most proud of the team's culture of freedom and trust to inspire change and success.
What will your typical day look like?
You will be a key business partner for our A&A Business. It is essential that you are able to develop a genuine business partner relationship with senior stakeholders (partner level) through gaining a deep understanding of their business and their financial and operational goals.
No two days will be the same in this role as you; ensure that financial results for your specific service lines have integrity and financial reports and analysis are delivered in a timely manner, work within the tight deadlines of the month-end process, applying detailed investigation, reasoning and influencing skills, review, analyse and compare variances against your plans including forecasting on a monthly basis and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.
You'll also actively participate in National Finance and corporate initiatives that support our strategies, ensure the provision of financial & commercial information and support to the internal leads and escalate all issues in a timely manner and consider recommendations as to the actions to resolve these issues. The successful candidate will be CA/CPA qualified with at least 5+ years' experience. We're looking for someone with:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and change management skills in order provide insight and influence decision-making.
- Proven experience in reviewing and streamlining processes to create efficiencies.
- The ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders in common business language rather than "accounting jargon"
- Confidence in managing and developing the finance team, participating in and creating a genuine team environment
- Excellent commercial accounting skills and business acumen.
