High Level Overview: A large diversified financial services organisation in Australia is seeking a dynamic Chief Information Officer to work to drive the vision and delivery of technology across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Business Relationship Management: Effective engagement and relationship management with the businesses in relation to their overall IT requirements.
  • Leading Change:  Influence and shape the change agenda with a focus on innovation, productivity and capability growth.
  • Continuous Improvement: Evolve the business operations – with a particular focus on agile and the championing of new ways of working. 
  • People Leadership: Build a high performing, technology team.  

Skills, Experience and Leadership Capabilities

  • Technology Delivery:
    • Proven experience in delivering competitive, customer focused technology programs aligned with the business strategy.  
    • Effective at understanding the various business needs and building a group technology strategy that drives growth.
    • Track record of building long-term strategies while also being able to focus on delivery short-term business needs.
    • Able to provide thought leadership to senior leaders both internally and externally.


  • Digital Transformation: Business engagement capability and a proven ability to partner to truly digitise business. A deep industry and technical knowledge of digitisation practices.
  • Leadership: Large scale team leadership, including establishing a clear vision and purpose and motivating teams to execute and deliver world-class, end to end technology solutions.
  • New ways of working: Experience in agile methods at scale, experiment -driven innovation, and a measurement culture.
