ASIC is seeking a Corporate Communications and Policy Adviser

 

The team 

The work of ASIC's Strategic Policy team includes driving ASIC's organisational strategy, coordinating strategic communications and performance reporting, implementing new regulatory and law reform initiatives, and shaping and influencing Australia's regulatory framework.

The Strategic Policy team is part of ASIC's Strategy Group, which also includes International Strategy, Strategic Intelligence, the Behavioural Unit and Financial Capability.

 

The role 

As a Corporate Communications and Policy Adviser, you will:

  • coordinate and/or contribute to the development and drafting of ASIC's annual report, corporate plan and other reports, papers and submissions
  • prepare guidance and communications materials that support ASIC's implementation of law reform and policy to shape Australia's regulatory framework
  • contribute to organisational strategy and support work across ASIC, including internal communications and performance reporting
  • develop and maintain key internal and external relationships with stakeholders and support inter-agency coordination and liaison.
     

About you

We are looking for strong experience in strategic communications and reporting, and an understanding of regulatory and public policy. The ideal candidate will display an ability to present complex written information to varied audiences, manage multiple stakeholders and projects, and work independently with limited supervision.  Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required to undertake this role.
