APRA is seeking experienced Credit Risk Specialists to join the Credit Risk team within our newly formed Risk and Data Analytics Division. As part of the team you will gain a unique perspective across the finance industry as you provide specialist advice and apply your skill and experience to APRA’s core supervision functions.
The Credit Risk Specialist will play a key role in providing expert technical advice in relation to credit risk measurement and analysis as well as identifying and evaluating current and potential issues regarding the measurement and analysis of credit risk. You will also assess the culture, systems, methods and processes established to identify and assess credit risk in financial institutions. You will be regarded as a point of expert reference with regard to credit risk issues.
You will collaborate with a wide range of APRA staff and with industry stakeholders and have an opportunity to be involved in the assessment of key credit risk industry practices.
The Credit Risk Specialist contributes to the development and maintenance of methods and processes established to identify and assess credit risk in financial institutions.This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to and lead reviews and projects that shape the credit risk of the largest banks in Australia. You will engage with APRA’s frontline supervision in a leadership capacity. You will also interact with APRA’s Policy area and be exposed to international developments in regulation on credit risk.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge in the field of credit risk. You will have excellent analytical and problem solving ability along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are required.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with excellent organisational, self and priority management skills.
