To help us deliver on this strategic priority, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to focus on translating the regime strategy into an executable plan, managing delivery of planned activities, dependencies, resourcing, facilitating workshops and managing risks and issues.

Key Tasks:
  • Translating the Accountability Regime strategy into an executable implementation plan, including high-level and detailed planning of project milestones, outputs and tasks
  • Effective day to day management and co-ordination of project resources; ensuring that there is adequate clarity of tasks in terms of requirements, quality and completion dates
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress to plan in terms of scope, schedule, cost and change management activities
  • Managing risks, issues and dependencies; initiating corrective actions and maintaining visibility and escalating when appropriate
  • Ensuring key deliverables are accepted and signed-off by the appropriate stakeholders in accordance with APRA's project methodology.

Desired knowledge and experience:

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated experience in managing business driven projects, ideally within banking or financial services sector. Strong stakeholder management experience coupled with impeccable communication, presentation and facilitation skills. Highly developed skills in the use of project management planning tools and techniques, including waterfall and agile techniques and prior experience in vendor, procurement and contract management. Experience delivering projects related to governance or executive accountability highly desirable, but not essential.
