Strategic Intent

Develop and deliver on Cards and Loans acquisition strategy to achieve both new accounts and profitability targets through the optimisation of channel and product. Drive to Digital/mobile where feasible to deliver the most cost efficient acquisition, scale and profitability to Cards and Loans.


Maximise New Account Growth and Profitability
  • Develop Cards and Loans acquisition strategy and work with the team to implement campaigns and initiatives to achieve targets relating to response rates, approval rates, new accounts, CPA, ANR and Revenue.
  • Work with Marketing Managers on each acquisition campaign to develop and optimise marketing strategy, selection criteria, timing, test objectives and projected results.
  • Lead process improvement and innovation across all areas of campaign management and tracking. 
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking - Identify and onboard new Partners and new distribution channels
  • Drive diversification and optimisation across all channels and products to ensure key short-term and long-term profitability metrics are maximised.  Track individual channel profitability to underpin optimal allocation of marketing budget. 
  • Enhance targeting and propensity to maximise new account acquisition, revenue and profitability. Ensure Acquisition of customers within our target market and Risk ABC requirements.
  • Grow online acquisition while reducing CPA through effective targeting, creative, channel, partner and vendor management. Identify and leverage new online channels, tools and tracking.
Team Management and Leadership
  • Manage Cards and Loans Digital Sales team - Complete scorecards and development plans for all direct reports. Provide leadership and direction to team to deliver results
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders 
Customer Experience
  • Take personal responsibility for resolving issues and delivering a remarkable customer onboarding experience.
  • Identify and Implement improvements to the Campaign Management and Fulfilment Processes 
Budget Management, Reporting and MIS
  • Successfully manage the budget and ensure accurate completion of Monthly Accruals, outlook and Flash
  • Tightly manage and report on CPA monthly.(attributed and direct, Fas and non Fas)
  • Work with Decision Management and BP&A to develop campaign level reporting and ensure Post Campaign reviews and tracking back to approved profit models

Qualifications Required
  • Marketing, Economic and/or Business Degree
  • Min 8 years marketing experience in Financial Services
