The Product Owner is responsible for the tactical areas of product management that are associated with the product or products they are assigned. The Product Owner reports to the Product Manager for the products they are assigned.
The Product Owner facilitates cross organizational awareness of product issues and provides leadership for organizational readiness aspects for a software product release or opportunity (e.g., revenue recognition coordination, rollout schedule tracking, release adoption, beta testing, early adopters, internal training).
The Product Owner participates with the Product Manager in product management brainstorming activities and software specific strategies and recommendations.
The Product Owner works with the Product Manager in design sessions with both internal and external stakeholders.
The Product Owner works with the Product Manager on both functional prototypes and visual prototypes for both new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
The Product Owner in conjunction with the Product Manager works on managing enhancement requests from customers, sales, and support and manages the tracking of the product backlog.
The Product Owner participates in customer retention activities such as:
• Presentations at client conferences and user groups
• Attends Customer Advisory Committee meetings
• Nurtures specific references and relationships with clients.
• Participate in referrals and references activities for clients
The Product Owner deals with Customer Escalations items such as:
• Works with issues and challenges that arise from the field.
• Addresses any customer escalation issues with appropriate response.
The Product Owner works closely and collaboratively with the Software Development Manager and at a detailed level with scrum teams.
The Product Owner works with the Product Manager at a detailed level to define the requirements for new solution offerings and existing product enhancement releases.
The Product Owner works with the Product Manager to define User Personas for all application areas.
The Product Owner works on translating market requirements and product features into more detailed level requirements, including user Scenarios and User Stories.
The Product Owner assists the Product Manager in working with partners to facilitate their success in working with the product.
The Product Owner works with building collaborative and positive relationships across multiple stakeholder groups with diverse needs and goals.
•5 to 10 years' experience in Corporate Treasury or Finance.
•Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
•Acts with customers in mind balanced with company business objectives.
•Ability to build alliances and collaborative teams that work toward a common good.
•Ability to build actionable and tactical plans that align to product goals and objectives.
•A working knowledge of Corporate Treasury products
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Ability to give presentations before groups at conferences.
•Ability to demonstrate self-confidence in high demand settings.
•A willingness to learn the technical needs and issues associated with product development.
