The Real Estate Transactions Officers sources acquisitions, underwrites and evaluates the acquisition, negotiates the agreement, coordinates the due diligence process and also takes responsibility for closing the real estate transaction. They are responsible for executing all capital market activity as it relates to financing of the properties. The Real Estate Transactions Officer will also have responsibility for executing on property dispositions, in line with guidance from the Portfolio Manager.

 The Real Estate Transaction business has offices based in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia and established since 1995 across 15 countries. The team has over 35 Investment professionals and works alongside a designated Asia Pacific research team providing market intelligence and investment support.

Your key responsibilities:   

  • Reporting to the Head of Real Estate - Australia, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting acquisition initiatives across a range of sectors and markets, including sourcing and origination, underwriting & analysis, market research, due diligence, preparation of investment committee papers, negotiation and deal execution
  • Assisting debt acquisition financing initiatives
  • Assisting on internal reporting and stakeholder management initiatives
  • Assisting on capital raising initiatives
  • Assisting on special project initiatives (i.e. asset management analysis, asset tours, marketing assignments, research pieces etc.)
  • Focus market region will be Australia & NZ

Your skills and experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in real estate, commerce, law, economics, engineering or architecture
  • Circa 3+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong commercial acumen & attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills (including excel financial modelling) and a high level of numeracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
