Senior Data Analyst
How will I help?
The purpose of the role is to analyse information and develop technical analytical solutions to manage the risk or reward position of the bank. The role involves implementing detection and reporting of misconduct and malpractice by employees and various other conduct risk behaviours.
You will be responsible for the analysis and interrogation of data to support misconduct and malpractice detection and uncover fraudulent activities. You will also make continual improvements to detection system rules.
Additionally, you will maintain internal reporting platforms to assist with analysis and become an expert in conduct risk behaviours and indicators.

What do I need?
You will have tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering etc and technical skills in some of SQL, SAS or other programming languages are essential with proven experience in using these to interrogate and manipulate large data sets. Also, you will have proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence non-technical stakeholders.
Experience playing games such as chess, poker or board games with a competitive nature is advantageous as these display similar thought processes to fraud detection. In addition, experience in working in a Conduct Risk or Fraud Analytics environment within financial services would be highly advantageous.u
