APRA is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Data Processes and Solutions team within our recently formed Risk and Data Analytics Division.

APRA is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Data Processes and Solutions team within our recently formed Risk and Data Analytics Division.

The Senior Manager will lead teams responsible for ensuring that APRA’s administration of data and regulated entities is efficient and effective, and delivery of data solutions that support the business and the strategic direction of Data Analytics.

You will engage with a number of internal teams (particularly IT and our risk and supervision teams) to ensure APRA’s existing data collection and administration meet APRA’s needs across all industries and that Data Analytics’ processes align with APRA’s data strategy. You will also work closely with APRA’s data transformation program, Athena, facilitating and implementing changes in existing data processes to meet future needs. You may also represent APRA at external forums and deal with key financial industry representatives and representatives of government departments.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading, managing and developing teams, and a sound understanding of business process solutions. You will also have experience in managing teams through complex change, along with highly developed communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in regulatory reporting within industry or elsewhere would be highly regarded.

Within APRA the Data Analytics team leads the way by providing reporting and forward looking analytics to help drive well-informed supervision and strategic decisions. In order to deliver this the team collects and distributes data both internally within APRA and externally to the other agencies and the industry.
