Senior Tax Analyst or Tax Manager
Are you a Senior Tax Analyst or Tax Manager with technical income tax skills, looking for your next career move? Our Banking and Financial Services Tax team has a strong reputation as a leader and innovator in its area of expertise.

Reporting directly to the Taxation Information Officer, you will provide detailed analysis and advice on a broad range of banking tax issues to a range of internal senior stakeholders in the business and operations teams.

You will manage and implement important regulatory change projects, and get involved in industry lobbying to achieve regulatory change in line with business requirements. You will update and educate stakeholders on tax related changes and identify practical approaches on how to implement tax laws. You will liaise with the ATO and other third parties, as required.

Looking for ways to improve existing tax practices and processes, you will also maintain compliance with current regulations and policies. You will provide guidance to financial advisers in relation to non-super tax issues, and deliver training and support to internal stakeholders on technical tax concepts.

To be successful in this role, you will have a technical income tax background. If you have experience of GST and working in financial services tax (in-house or at a Big 4 consulting firm), this will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

You will have a demonstrated interest in finance, investment and superannuation. You will have a degree in accounting/commerce, business, finance or law (or equivalent), and have completed (or nearly completed) a relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g. CA, CPA or Masters of Tax).

You will have attention to detail, self-motivation to work unsupervised, the ability to grasp new concepts quickly, excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.

If this sounds like you, we'd love you to apply now.
