The Client Portfolio Manager Private Clients is the expert in solutions and investment strategy for the Private Banking mandates managed by Candriam. They have unsurpassed knowledge of the current range of different investment solutions and, as investment expert, issue communications on the strategy governing the different funds and discretionary portfolios. The Client Portfolio Manager also makes sales presentations to the Private Banking network, including colleagues in-house and end-clients. If necessary, they help the Private Banker in the latter’s meetings with discretionary clients.

Responsibilities

You manage the content of a dedicated Extranet designed for Private Banking, and that provides technical-sales support to the Private Banker. You automate and optimise existing documentation.

You produce weekly drafts of info bulletins on the investment strategy and positioning of the different discretionary mandates managed by Candriam.

You produce monthly and quarterly comments on the macro-economic environment and on the investment strategy governing the different discretionary mandates managed by Candriam.

You make presentations, take part personally in (video-)conference calls (strategy updates, market analysis, training, management committees) for the Private Banking network and for end-clients (portfolio evaluation).

You keep the Private Banker informed of our vision and positioning by means of Special Reports and/or Webinars/Videos on specific market-related events.

When called upon to do so, you act as back-up to colleagues specializing in multi-asset solutions.

 

Required  Skills & Competencies

Qualifications and experience

You have at minimum a Bachelor’s degree, but preferably a Master’s, in a financial discipline.

You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a specalised communication function, preferably in the field of asset management or journalism.

You have a deep insight into the financial markets (equities, bonds, options, in particular) and sound macroeconomic knowledge.

 

Technical skills

You are an experienced user of MS Office (Word, Excel & Powerpoint). Any additional VBA Excel skills would not go amiss.

You are a proficient user of FactSet / Bloomberg / Morningstar.

You speak fluent French and Dutch, and English. Knowledge of any other languages is a bonus.

You have enviable editorial skills in both French and English.

You are a first-class communicator capable of putting together attention-grabbing presentations.
