OPB is looking for an energetic experienced leader to lead the financial administration and financial statement reporting. As the successful candidate, you will be actively involved in leading a small team of dedicated employees responsible for pensioner accounting, the oversight of financial records ensuring they are maintained according to accounting principles and practices, and the creation and maintenance of internal controls of client transactions at OPB. Working closely with the VP of Finance, you will also lead the creation of OPB’s annual and quarterly financial statements and presentation to the Senior Executive leadership team and manage the external audit process.

Manager, Pension Finance to join their team.

OPB is looking for an energetic experienced leader to lead the financial administration and financial statement reporting. As the successful candidate, you will be actively involved in leading a small team of dedicated employees responsible for pensioner accounting, the oversight of financial records ensuring they are maintained according to accounting principles and practices, and the creation and maintenance of internal controls of client transactions at OPB. Working closely with the Vice President of Finance, you will also lead the creation of OPB’s annual and quarterly financial statements and presentation to the Senior Executive leadership team and manage the external audit process.

Key Qualifications:
 Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, etc).
 Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience with accounting principles, practices, applicable legislative requirements, Canadian financial reporting, auditing, and the creation of financial statements.
 Experience with CPA s4600 pension plan accounting and knowledge of pension administration an asset.
 Leadership skills and experience in motivating, guiding, and developing staff and building a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
 Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide advice and guidance and present information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization, including executives and board members.
 Strong interpersonal skills to develop and build positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
 Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
