A rare opportunity for join a close-knit team, as the lead quantitative analyst and trader in an alternative investment fund. The team manages two funds with an excellent track record that have been awarded multiple times. One fund has a cross asset long-short approach with a variable net exposure while the second fund has a long-only equity strategy. Both funds invests in high quality businesses across all sectors, geographies and capitalization based on in-depth fundamental research and with a long term mind-set. The team combines in-depth fundamental research with quantitative analysis. Quantitative indicators are used for stock and bond selection, for portfolio construction, for hedges and to manage the fund net exposure. You will be a key member of the investment team, working alongside analysts and PM. Your role will be to lead the design and improvement of quantitative signals, and you will also build and support ad-hoc infrastructure applications. This would be an excellent opportunity to gain greater responsibility for someone who already has an expertise in some or all of the following areas: quantitative investment strategies, derivatives, cross-asset, style factors, and trading. The Equity and Balanced Strategies team within Tikehau Investment Management manages over €1Bn. The team invests in securities listed in Europe and in the U.S. It focuses its research efforts on the qualitative study of companies' business models combined with a rigorous quantitative approach to stock selection and portfolio construction.
Among others, your tasks will be to:
- Improve the existing quantitative strategies and indicators for stock and bond selection, net exposure management, asset classes allocation, style factor optimization, and portfolio construction
- Write the software for quantitative analysis and backtesting
- Automate trade executions
- 4+ years of working experience in quantitative research and trading
- Passion for understanding financial markets using analysis and data
- Object-oriented programming experience in C++, C# or Java
- Ability to write high quality software designed to minimize bugs and maintenance
- MSc or PhD in Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science from a top university
