Intern - Telecom & Technology Ratings Grade 5 (for internal purposes) The Role
We are looking for an intern to join our Telecoms and Technology Ratings team in Paris. The position is open from January 2022 at the earliest, and for a duration of six months. About Corporate Ratings:
The Global Corporate Ratings Practice is the largest at S&P Global Ratings Services. It employs nearly 500 analysts in 28 locations globally who conduct research and produce ratings on over 4,500 corporate entities. Our Paris-based team covers a broad portfolio of ratings across all industries in both French-speaking and the rest of Europe.
By supporting capital markets, S&P Global Ratings helps people to start and grow businesses, cities and states to build highways and hospitals, and manufacturers to build factories and create jobs.
We predominantly surveil existing ratings, work on new rating transactions, as well as assess the ratings impact of refinancing or M&A transactions by applying our core corporate ratings methodology and industry specific rating factors. We also work on transactions in partnership with other ratings practices and segments at S&P Global on a regular basis. Identifying and analyzing ESG sustainability factors is increasingly becoming an important part of credit analysis at S&P Global Ratings, be it as part of ESG in ratings, or our ESG Evaluations product
You will be supporting our team in conducing credit and recovery analysis on a wide range of EMEA telecom and high technology corporates. Where applicable, you will also be supporting senior analysts on preparing, researching and publishing topical research.

You will work with junior and senior analysts of S&P Global's T&T ratings team and throughout the internship get a hands-on insight into how we assign and surveil our ratings, have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to our analytical and sector discussions, and work on ad-hoc projects.
