Portfolio Manager, Capital Markets

The World Bank is looking for a Portfolio Manager to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team accountable for the investment returns and performance versus market benchmarks.

The Capital Markets Investments team is responsible for the prudent and expert management of IBRD’s and IDA’s cash and fixed income investment portfolios. Since most of the investments require hedging for ALM purposes, the team also executes this hedging using derivatives and FX instruments in these markets. The team’s work is fundamental to IBRD’s and IDA’s financial viability by ensuring that the principal value of institutions’ liquidity is protected; there are always sufficient funds on hand to meet IBRD’s and IDA’s cash commitments. The group also executes foreign exchange transactions for IBRD, IDA, MIGA, and World Bank-managed Trust Funds.
