AI Solutions Engineer - Global Investment Firm

Role Overview
This is a highly visible, hands-on engineering position focused on building practical AI products, intelligent automation solutions, and decision-support tools for executive stakeholders.
You will work directly with senior business leaders to identify opportunities, rapidly prototype solutions, and scale successful products into secure, production-grade applications. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, AI development, and business strategy, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems and delivering tangible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-powered applications, agent-based workflows, and intelligent automation solutions.
- Build data pipelines that extract, organise, and synthesise information from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Develop executive dashboards and decision-support platforms that provide actionable insights with minimal information latency.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and platform components supporting AI workloads.
- Implement machine learning, forecasting, and analytical techniques where they create meaningful commercial value.
- Build and manage MLOps and LLMOps processes, including deployment, monitoring, evaluation, versioning, and governance.
- Partner closely with technology, security, and operational teams to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and maintainable.
- Take projects from proof-of-concept through production deployment, ongoing optimisation, and operational support.
Key Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering, AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience developing and deploying AI or LLM-powered applications into production environments.
- Strong expertise in Python development for backend services, automation, and data processing.
- Experience building APIs, distributed systems, and scalable data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, including RAG, vector databases, agent frameworks, and orchestration tools.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, source control, and infrastructure automation.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and translate business objectives into technical solutions.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related technical field.
