Our client, a well-established commercial bank with a strong presence in Hong Kong, is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join its Human Resources team. This is an excellent opportunity for HR professionals with a background in HR Business Partnering and/or Talent Acquisition within the banking sector who are looking to broaden their strategic HR exposure and partner closely with business stakeholders across the organization.

Your new role

Act as a trusted HR partner to business leaders and department heads on people-related matters.
Provide HR advisory support across the employee lifecycle, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and talent development.
Partner with hiring managers to manage recruitment activities and support key hiring initiatives.
Support organizational development, succession planning, and talent management programs.
Advise stakeholders on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Analyze HR trends and workforce data to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
Participate in HR projects, transformation initiatives, and process improvement programs.
Collaborate closely with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations teams to deliver effective HR solutions.

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
5+ years of HR experience within the banking industry, ideally gained from a commercial bank.
Experience in HR Business Partnering and/or Talent Acquisition is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of HR practices, employee lifecycle management, and talent acquisition processes.
Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across different business functions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, commercially minded, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is preferred.
