Private Client Solutions (PCS) is a global business within Citi's Markets and Securities Services organization. PCS professionals serving retail and private wealth intermediaries, including Private and Consumer Banks, Regional Broker-Dealers and Wholesalers to Family Offices and Independent Registered Investment Advisors (IFAs/RIAs).

PCS offers a wide range of trading and investment products, developed for mass-UHNW/Mega wealth investors such as notes, deposits, certificates, OTC derivatives, warrants, funds, rules-based index strategies, municipal securities, taxable fixed income, cash equities and exchange-traded notes. Dedicated Product Specialists evaluate and manufacture investments for clients seeking wealth preservation, yield enhancement, risk mitigation, market access, portfolio diversification and strategic trading opportunities.

Working closely with the APAC Sales and Product leads and the PCS Global Marketing team, this individual contributor will deliver PCS marketing initiatives across the region, across client segments and across product/investment capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:


Works closely with experts in sales and product structuring, legal and compliance, e-Commerce and local and global agencies/third parties to deliver:

  • Marketing & Communications:  Drive all regional and country-specific retail materials, including the promotion of new product ideas and investment themes, creation of offerings materials and fact sheets, and educational materials. Adapt/localize client materials from other regions to regional audience and approvals. Utilize external agencies, Citi Graphics and Presentation Technology to ensure output of consistently branded client-communications.
  • Press & PR:  develop and deliver on opportunities to position Citi as a subject-matter expert in this business. Partner with Regional Corp Communications to identify opportunities to engage with the media. Work on product / platform press releases. Champion and coordinate awards pitches and survey contributions.
  • Client Conferences : Identify, plan, execute and measure pan-regional client conferences. Maximize client engagement and cost efficiencies. Systemize participation in industry sponsorships. Engage with product partners to collaborate / share opportunities as relevant.
  • Digital Platform:  Project-manage marketing-related website platform requirements in partnership with global eCommerce, Citi IT and third-party provider. Ensure consistent branding, internal and external regulatory compliance.
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence:  Support competitor analysis, insights and market intelligence. Work with Sales to identify and incubate new clients / new markets
  • Business Development:  Support senior management with strategic and business development work (e.g. client pitch presentations)
  • Regulatory Compliance : Work in close partnership with Citi Legal and Compliance to ensure regulatory compliance for all activities.
  • Business Development:  Support senior management with strategic and business development work (e.g. client pitch presentations)
  • Internal Communications:  Support senior management with internal communications and reporting needs (e.g. Town Hall presentations)
  • Budget:  Oversee and monitor the APAC Retail marketing budget. In partnership with Global Marketing team, Procurement and Citi Global Event Management, secure vendor cost efficiencies for various marketing-related expenses (promotional items, conference expenses, etc.).

This role requires product marketing skills, project management skills, excellent communication skills, written and oral), a strong understanding of client and stakeholder needs, a relentless drive for quality and the ability to think strategically to drive the business forward.
With direction from the global PCS marketing team and the regional Sales leads, the APAC PCS Marketing Manager will define, manage, prioritize and coordinate product and client marketing initiatives for the PCS business in APAC.

Qualifications

  • Min 8 yrs experience in both financial services marketing 
  • Bachelor's degree or above. Additional qualifications in marketing, wealth management, finance or communications will be considered favorably
  • Solid marketing experience (acquisition and client development marketing, digital, strategic communications, PR, events, etc)
  • Experience with digital marketing, fintech and like vendors/agencies locally
  • Good knowledge of financial services product set (capital markets, complex products a plus)
  • Proactive individual with strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Shows good judgment and professional maturity
  • Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin
