Associate Director - Business Continuity Management

Job Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for the Hong Kong Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, in alignment with the Mandates and Objectives of Asia Division and Global. The individual will report to the AVP, IT & Operations Performance and will collaborate and liaise with country senior management and business units, participate in country governance for the support of the implementation of the BCM program objectives and implement practices and controls, contributing to the improvement in the BCM program to reduce Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and improve the effective Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
The candidate will be hired and physically located in Hong Kong, reporting directly to AVP, IT & Operations Performance and functionally reporting to Asia BCM Lead.

Key Result Areas:

  • Point of contact for country BCM requirements of the business, and provide advice and guidance on BCM and regulatory requirements
  • Reporting the country BCM risk and performance posture
  • Formulation of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and solutions with the various business units in order to ensure that the development and implementation of the BCP are effective and comply with the Asia divisional strategies and local regulations
  • Participate in country governance support for the implementation of the BCM program objectives
  • Collaborate with the country IT infrastructure service for BCM project delivery assurance
  • Implement IRM practices and controls on the BCM program for the country and business units
    • Perform Business Impact Analysis (BIA), user specifications and functional procedure
    • Develop and maintain BCP information for business units with the BCP/DR planning system and maintain the BCM posture up to date
    • BCM Awareness and Readiness
    • Organize and implement effective BCP drills and other test programs with business units for validation (Disaster Recovery test, Alterative Site Test, Call tree test, Table Top test, etc.)
    • Conduct quality assurance (QA) for the plans (BUCP, ASRP, etc.)
    • Crisis management in the event of business disruption incidents
    • Business Continuity Service Providers Management
    • BCM tool administration and support
    • Compliance and status report preparation

Experience and Qualifications:
  • University graduate with a minimum of six years' solid experience in BCM gained in the financial industry
  • Holder of the CBCP or CBCI professional certificate; PMP is an advantage
  • Insurance business knowledge is preferable
  • Experience with BCM tool - Fusion Framework System (FFS) will be an added advantage
